Dr. Norman Bethune Celebrates a new work by Richard Saucedo

Monday May 31, 7:30 p.m., musicians from Dr. Norman Bethune C.I. and the environmental group, Beat (Bethune Environmental Action Team) invite you to celebrate spring with their musicians and vocalists at Markham Theatre. The concert will feature new and published works by the composer Richard Saucedo who will conduct his works. His new work is dedicated to the environment.

In addition to the band works, the concert will feature the choir led by Ann Willoughby; Jazz Ensemble led by Rick Humphrey; the Drum Line led by Jason Alaksa and featuring the premiere of a three movement work by Bill Thomas, Director of Bands at York University. The Junior Band led by Nora Mular-Richards will perform Saucedo’s work Meeting at Tryon Palace and the Senior Band will perform the premiere of the new work dedicated to the environment.
