The Young Artists Opera Theatre Academy is a project of the Theatre of Early Music Young Artist Foundation in cooperation with the Festival des Arts Saint Sauveur. This first edition, the 2008 program will offer emerging singers a unique opportunity in Quebec to concentrate on interpretive arts in a consistent and positive performance/learning environment. Students will be instructed on new ideas and approaches that are designed to meet individual interests, the importance of emotional connection to the works, style and interpretation, text, body alignment, breath and movement.

The Academy invites young musicians who are at the threshold and early stages of their careers an opportunity to study with an internationally acclaimed Faculty sought-after in the area of their expertise. Led by Daniel Taylor, Artistic Director, our mission is to provide instruction at the highest level.

This first 2008 Academy runs July 27-August 6, offering a series of intimate and focused workshops, individual lessons, Master Classes, coachings, yoga sessions and performance opportunities.

The Young Artists Academy program takes place in Montreal with featured performances at the Festival des Arts Saint Sauveur, one of the most important Dance and Music Festivals in Canada. Artists will also travel for a performance at the largest chamber music festival in the world, the Ottawa Chamber Music Festival.
