Pops Goes Vegas with Jack Everly!

Las Vegas comes to the NAC for Jack Everly’Äôs final CTV Pops concerts of the season, June 19-21

Ottawa, Canada ’Äì The glitz, glamour and show-biz of Las Vegas come to Ottawa in a high-rolling new concert led by Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly from Thursday, June 19 to Saturday, June 21 at 20:00 in Southam Hall as ’ÄúPops Goes Vegas’Äù. For these final CTV Pops concerts of the season, Jack and the NAC Orchestra spin the musical roulette wheel and audiences hit the jackpot with classic tunes like ’ÄúLuck Be a Lady Tonight’Äù, ’ÄúHey Big Spender’Äù and more. You may be in Southam Hall, but you’Äôll swear you’Äôre on The Strip! To add to the fun, there will be a casino in the NAC Foyer before and after each concert with everyone getting a fistful of NAC fun money to play.

The cast of high rollers includes Broadway leading man, Joe Cassidy; the ’ÄúOl Blue Eyes’Äù star Brian Duprey of the hit Las Vegas production of The Rat Pack; the comedic and beautiful Alison Briner, and Mr. Showman himself, Martin Preston as the legendary Liberace. The music, the celebrities, the showgirls, the singers and dancers are all on stage in this fast-paced show of musical hit after hit. It is all under the baton of Jack Everly whose innovative, entertaining programs have made him the toast of the Ottawa Pops scene. And as Jack himself says: ’ÄúWhat happens in the concert, stays in the concert!’Äù

Bringing the lustre of ’ÄúSin City’Äù to Southam Hall, Pops Goes Vegas showcases music made famous by the premier artists of the Las Vegas entertainment scene including quintessential favourites such as ’ÄúNew York, New York,’Äù ’ÄúI’Äôve Got You Under My Skin,’Äù ’ÄúMy Way,’Äù and ’ÄúI Gotta Be Me.’Äù

Tickets for Pops Goes Vegas June 19 to 21 at 20:00 are on sale now at $29.00, $34.00, $39.00, $49.00, $59.00, $69.00 with box seats at $86.00 (GST and Facility Fee included) at the NAC Box Office (Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 21:00), and through Ticketmaster (with surcharges) at 613-755-1111. Ticketmaster may also be accessed through the NAC’Äôs website at www.nac-cna.ca. Subscriptions for the season are also still available by calling the Subscription Office at 613-947-7000, ext. 620.

Half-price tickets for students in all sections of the hall are on sale in person at the NAC Box Office upon presentation of a valid student ID card. Same-day Live Rush tickets (subject to availability) for full-time students (aged 13 to 29) are $10 at the NAC Box Office between 14:00 and 18:00 on the day of performance only, upon presentation of a valid Live Rush card.
