Of Stage and Screen: Favourites from Movies and Musicals

Of Stage and Screen: Favourites from Movies and Musicals

In their 16th season, Cumberland Community Singers present their 2008 Spring Concert entitled "Of Stage and Screen".

The Orleans-based choir will present a fun evening of music, ranging from Plaisir d'Amour, from the 1949 Academy Award winning film The Heiress, and The Lion Sleeps Tonight, featured in over 100 films, to Medlies from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat and Les Miserables, both accompanied by a band. Also featured in the concert will be the Orleans and Alta Vista based Cross Town Youth Chorus.

A fun evening for all, says Cumberland Community Singers Director Kurt Ala-Kantti. We always look forward to having the children's choir involved, and the chance to hear the choir accompanied by the band shouldn't be missed!

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and free for children and youth. Tickets are available at the door.

More information is available on the choir's website: www.CumberlandCommunitySingers.com
