Elektra Women's Choir releases From the Hearth, Innovative Listening and Fundraising Experience

Vancouver's Elektra Women's Choir has created an amazing record of their past 23 years and have recorded it for your listening pleasure.

From the Hearth is a unique listening experience featuring recorded music by Elektra with commentary from Artistic Director, Morna Edmundson and Conductor Emerita, Diane Loomer, C.M. Join them as they sit by the fire, enjoy a glass of wine, and reminisce about Elektra's past 23 years.

From the Hearth is now available for listening or download from http://elektra.ca/index.php?article=fromthehearth for your enjoyment on your computer or MP3 device. We invite you to sit by the warmth of the fire at home, sip a glass of wine, and enjoy time with Elektra.

Last season's highlights included Tapestry an international festival and celebration of women's choirs, and the release of our latest CD, Elektra's Garden. This 2009/20010 season Elektra celebrates the appointment of Morna Edmundson as Artistic Director with the just-past) Chez Nous, Christmas with Elektra, Romance: Schumann, Brahms, and Faurˆ© (June 6, 2010), and a number of collaborations and exciting projects in between.

Elektra is a charitable organization and can issue tax receipts for tax purposes for a minimum donation of $25 or more. All donations assist Elektra in its mission to "inspire and lead in the choral art form through excellence in performance and through the creation, exploration, and celebration of women's repertoire."

Donations may be made through PayPal or CanadaHelps.org buttons on the From the Hearth page.
