L'équipe de La Scena Musicale tient à remercier tous ses bénévoles et annonceurs, dont le soutien a assuré le grand succès de la revue en 1997. Notre tirage est passé à 23 000 exemplaires, et nous jouons dorénavant un rôle important sur la scène de la musique classique à Montréal, Québec, Ottawa et Toronto. La Scena Musicale espère poursuivre sur sa lancée en 1998. Elle accueille toujours avec empressement des bénévoles rédacteurs, traducteurs ou distributeurs. We at La Scena Musicale would like to thank all of our volunteers and advertisers whose faithful support made 1997 such a success. Our circulation rose to 23,000 copies and we have become an important part of the classical music scene in Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa and Toronto. We look forward to continued growth in 1998. Erratum: The editors would like to correct two errors made in the review of La Donna del Lago in the September 1997 issue of La Scena Musicale. The sentence which read, "The spectacle of Watson trading cracked high notes with tenor Matthew Chellis (Rodrigo) was truly bathetic" should have referred to tenors Bruce Fowler and Matthew Chellis, not to Nathaniel Watson. Mr. Watson is a baritone and was not singing high notes. In addition, Nathaniel Watson is an American, not a Canadian, citizen. The editors thank Mr. Watson for the correction and apologize for any embarassment caused by this case of mistaken identity.
