Amici, aware that Camille Saint-Saˆ´ns was not a huge fan of the style and novelties of Les Six, thought that it might be fun to reconcile them ’Ķ post mortem! We are pleased to welcome co-conspirators: Yehonatan Berick, Jin-shan Dai and Eric Nowlin in this, our second concert of the season. The programme includes Saint- Saˆ´ns’Äô passionate Piano Quintet; Milhaud’Äôs witty Ox on the roof, with its tango and samba rhythms; Poulenc’Äôs brilliant Clarinet Sonata and Honegger’Äôs Sonatine for violin and cello - Les Six at their bouncy best!
