Robert Lepage on Cover of La SCENA

[Version franaise]

Fall Arts Preview
The fall arts and music scene will be extensively covered in the Fall Edition of La SCENA, which will appear on September 3, 2009. We are thrilled to grace its cover with Canadian auteur Robert Lepage, the internationally acclaimed playwright, filmmaker and multimedia artist. In addition to an interview with Lepage, critical reviews of his recent works will also be presented.

Included in La SCENA Fall issue will be the September issue of La Scena Musicale, featuring tenor Marc Hervieux who will perform twice in Opra de Montrals upcoming 30th season. The monthly Discovery CD will feature a recital of Schuberts masterpiece Die Schne Mllerin performed by Jean-Paul Jeannotte, the Opra de Montrals first general director. This issue is shaping up to be a special issue on opera and theatre. In total, 84 pages.

Teacher's Guide: this issue will include our annual Teacher's Guide.

2009-2010 Publishing Year
The production schedule for the 2009-2010 year is now available. All 10 issues of the bilingual La Scena Musicale are planned, with four of these issues (September, December-January, April and June) inserted into the quarterly Arts magazine La SCENA, leaving six issues as stand-alone music magazines. May and June are national issues focused on festivals (May focused on Jazz, World and Folk music festivals, while June contains Classical Music and Arts festivals). In addition, there will be two issues of the all-English The Music Scene Ontario (November and March). The advertising rates for 2009-2010 remain the same as in 2008-2009.
